Putcher Pies
Oldbury on Severn has been a salmon fishing village since time immemorial where man caught fish in wooden withy traps called putchers.
Erecting them in the thick Severn mud required great skill, teamwork & energy. These people then provided the village with an abundance of salmon.
We commemorate this ancient tradition with a Putcher Pie.
Putcher Pies are extremely popular at The Anchor Inn.
They require a team of 6 hungry people to do them justice
The cost for 6 people to include Parmentier potatoes and fresh vegetables is £72.00
